Fibromyalgia is defined as a syndrome characterized by chronic pain in the muscles and soft tissues
surrounding joints. Fatigue, and tenderness at specific sites in the body are also components of fibromyalgia.
At Ability Physical Therapy patients are aided in understanding the symptoms of fibromyalgia and are taught
symptom reduction techniques, relaxation and a gentle exercise program including stretching and strengthening.
Each program is specifically tailored to the individual needs and tolerance levels of each individual. |
